Machine operators are responsible for performing machine setups (calibration, clean-up etc.) before the start of the production cycle such as managing and adjusting the functions and settings of machines (e.g. speed). Machine operators needs to input the essential raw material or parts the machines which are semi-automated, inspecting the parts with proper precision and assuring that they are in proper working condition, testing the machine operations for smooth running, should have command to fix the issues that might occur during the production process, examining the output products to check that there are no flaws or mistakes, keeping a record of both approved and defective products and maintaining activity log. The job requires relevant experience as a machine operator in a fast paced environment, knowledge of operating high-speed machinery, understanding production procedures, ability to read the manuals and schematics.
